
While 2016 did not exactly become the year that Virtual Reality became mainstream (as so many had predicted in 2015), huge progress has been made in the field, and further developments have continued into 2017.
The infographic below summarises some of the trends that we are seeing, and where we are heading. I don’t believe VR and AR will go the same route as 3D TV’s (which are now dead). There’s enough investment, interest and momentum for it to keep advancing towards a future where it may become mainstream.
